RAW Discussion Thread - 8th February 2010
What will happen this week on RAW? The Elimination Chamber is a few weeks away, Shawn Michaels is cracking up, Randy Orton is slowly starting to lose his patience with Legacy and what will John Cena do when he confronts Mr. McMahon about his actions last week?
Discuss.

I might actually start watching Raw again, just to follow on all the feuds and build up to WM.

RAW has been good the past month or so.
Bret Hart is making the show.

The Triple Threat Tag was the only good match the rest were horrible and Orton gets kicked in the head by Sheamus again.

They're making Bret Hart look like a bitch...really tarnishing him. I guess there's still a lot of storyline to go but he has totally sold out on this whole thing.

What do you mean exactly?
I disagree, if it's what I'm thinking. Yes he's looked a bit weak but that's just to get the crowd to sympathise with him (alot of WWE's live audience is now kids, so they need to get them on Bret Hart's side). Remember Vince is the one that needs cheap shots, Batista and ten security guards everytime Bret Hart has turned up. I'm more thean confident that Bret Hart will get his redemption come 'Mania and go out on a high. Also Vince fleeing for his life screaming "YOU DESERVED TO BE SCREWED!" was excellent.
Bret Hart has come across well in this. He wanted to call it quits but Vince has constantly 'screwed' him. Forcing the Hitman' hand.
Anyway, I thought it was another good RAW. HBK going nuts is compelling and the Bret Hart/Mr. McMahon stuff is keeping me glued.

I dunno, I get the sympathy thing, but the way they had him smash the monitors and everything last night seemed a bit cheap...I thought I heard the crowd booing him, even.
Just been a bit disappointed with it, is all. You'd think after 12 years they'd have something a little more explosive planned for him...something to do with HBK.
Ah well, we'll see how it plays out.

See I think it's been excellent so far. All their segments have featured some compelling stuff. You must remember that Bret Hart can only really do so much as he's not that mobile and the stroke/concussion deal.
Also the crowd seemed to be behind Bret Hart (I'll watch it back but I heard no boos). You must remember that the crowd on the RAW live shows are mainly kids, who think John Cena is the coolest bastard going. So some still may not know the story of the smashed monitors. For me it was a nice touch as it was a nod to Montreal and showed Bret Hart's utter frustration with not being able to get his revenge on Mr. McMahon. They need to keep that going as it will make people all the more eager to see the Hitman finally get his hands on the odious Mr. McMahon.
What you must remember is the crowd at the WWE's PPV's, specifically the big four, are mainly filled with older 'smart' fans. The pop Bret Hart will get that night will be huge (or I hope so). Imagine the image and the noise when the Hitman fianlly slaps the Sharpshooter on Mr. McMahon.
The only disappointment, for me, is no Canada show. Just imagine...

I've enjoyed Bret's return so far. Everything there doing is coming off well. I just hope that they have bigger things planned for the fued. Wrestlemania is still a good bit away in terms of their fued, I hope they dont let it get boring.
